I found a quote of his in the book "Slipstream Time Hacking" which I reviewed in my previous post, and I thought it was perfect for what we talk about on this channel.
The quote is “The man who has lived the most is not he who has counted the most years but he who has most felt life.”
If you're a fan of this blog, or maybe watched a few of my YouTube videos, you've probably heard me talk about living a Full Life. Well this quote fits perfectly with our mission, which is to help you make an IMPACT and lead a Full Life.
What this quote says to me is that it's not important how long you live. What's important is how much life you get out of the years.
There's a popular meme on social media that says you weren't meant to just pay bills and die, and the first time I saw that it got me thinking. Is this all there is to life? Am I going to be satisfied doing what I'm doing for the next 20 or so years? Am I going to look back when I'm older and wonder what could have been?
When we made the decision to start IMPACTfull Life, I didn't have a bad life at all. But there was a burning desire inside me to do more with my life. I was tired of every week feeling like the same thing over and over. As I approached 50 years old, life was starting to speed up. Have you had that feeling yet?
Well, I didn't want to stay on the treadmill. So I decided to jump off and get on a roller coaster instead. I made the decision to do something great with my life and try to inspire others to do the same. I knew it wouldn't be easy and I knew there would be some ups and downs. But that's what a roller coaster does. And that's why people enjoy them a whole lot more than they enjoy treadmills.
If you have a feeling deep down inside of you that there has to be more to life, I hope you'll make the same decision I did. I hope you decide to start living life instead of just letting life happen.
I know not everyone who reads my blog or watches my videos will jump on board, and that's ok. There are a lot of people who are afraid of change. There are a lot of people who don't believe in themselves. There are a lot of people who want to find an easier way. I can't help those people.
I'm looking for the doers, not the wishers.
If you want to live a Full Life, you need to be proactive and intentional. Sitting back hoping something better will come along is not an effective strategy for getting more out of life. Once that intention becomes the focus of your life, you will be amazed at how the little things that used to stress you out will become insignificant and trivial.
You will be headed down a different path, and positive things will begin to happen. The more you think about where you're headed instead of where you are, or where you've been, the closer you will get to living a Full Life.
Please, stop letting life get the best of you. Start making the most of your life so you can make an impact and lead a Full Life.
