It’s been said there are 3 kinds of people in the world: Those that make things happen, those that watch things happen and those who sit around wondering “What happened?”
Life is not designed to be a spectator sport. No matter how young or old you are today, you need to be a participant. Do not let life pass you by. Get out of the stands, put on a uniform and get in the game!
No one is going to call your phone or come knocking on your door asking if you are ready to be successful, so STOP waiting for an invitation to join the team. Life is a participation sport. You can either join the game, or start your own, there is no draft in the game of life.
The best part about starting your own game is that you get to make up the rules. What game do you want to play? How can you design your game of life to take advantage of your unique abilities? How can you rig the game so you have a better chance of winning?
Now, I realize not everyone reading this will get in the game, I understand that. Sports need spectators. So if you decide you don’t want to play, sit back and watch the rest of us. Cheer for those that are trying to make their life better. But remember, if you don’t do anything different, don’t expect anything different. If you choose to float through life, wondering where the time went, watching hours turn into days and days turn into years, that’s your choice. But please clear the field for those of us that want to play. Go sit in the stands and watch. It’s gonna be a good game.
If you do decide to get in the game, welcome to the team.
Hopefully, this blog will become your playbook.
