Why You Need To Spend More Time Thinking

Posted on February 11, 2026February 11, 2026 by Rob Clifton

“Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve.”

You are probably familiar with the quote above, but if not, it’s from Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill, which is considered by many to be the granddaddy of all personal development and self-improvement books.

The basic notion of this book can be summarized by this popular quote. In short, you can achieve whatever you set your mind to as long as you believe in yourself. Therefore, if you’re not satisfied with where you are in life, you need to envision, or conceive, a better future for yourself.

Therefore, over the next few days I want you to pay attention to your thoughts as they relate to your future.

Now it may seem weird for me to ask you to think about your thinking, but when was the last time you sat quietly by yourself and paid attention to your thoughts?

Your heart may be the engine of your body, but your brain, and the thoughts that pass through it, are the steering wheel.

What direction are your thoughts steering you? They’re either taking you toward what you want, or away from it.

What are you telling yourself about the future?

Do you have a clear picture of what you want out of life?

Do you have a vision and a plan to create that life?

Do you believe in your ability to achieve the life of your dreams?

When you think about the future, are you excited or anxious? Full of hope or full of dread?

I want you to find some time this week to get away from the computer, put down your phone and do some intentional thinking!

Remember, if you can conceive it and believe, you CAN achieve it!

So that’s your action for this week and I hope you find it impactful.

Remember: you can make an impact, you can lead a full life.

Have a great week! Thanks for reading.

The website design looks great—clean, user-friendly, and visually appealing! It definitely has the potential to attract more visitors. Maybe adding even more engaging content (like interactive posts, videos, or expert insights) could take it to the next level. Keep up the good work!

Good day! I know this is kind of off topic but I was wondering which blog
platform are you using for this website? I’m getting tired of WordPress because
I’ve had problems with hackers and I’m looking at options for another platform.
I would be fantastic if you could point me in the direction of a good platform.
